Our showroom has a wide range of carpets from leading suppliers: From traditional patterned Axminster and woven Wilton plains to an extensive selection of non-woven carpets; from wool and wool pile, to stain-free and bleach cleanable yarns all at competitive prices. Our hard floors section features cushioned vinyl as well as Karndean and luxury vinyl in a wide range of styles. We stock laminate, engineered wood and supply solid wood floors.
We stock a wide range of rugs in a variety of sizes and styles - from modern patterns to more traditional Persian designs.
An Otley family business since the early 20th century, the firm passed to Peter Heald in the 1970s. It has always been run with a focus on providing excellent for local people – an approach which has only been enhanced by its latest move, in 2021, to superb new premises at Wharfebank Mills on the Ilkley Road.

Our fitters work with a Lunds’ eye to both value and quality. We can supply from 4-metre and 5-metre-wide rolls and offer a full measuring, estimating and fitting service on all flooring. Alternatively, you can buy on a cash and carry basis.
Our friendly staff are customer focused and passionate in helping everyone to choose the right flooring. They love to talk flooring and will enjoy answering all your questions. They also recognise when you are in a hurry!
The Lunds business passed to Peter in 1974, with a commitment to continue providing genuine value with honest advice, so that even today, the business still relies on repeat business and personal recommendation for almost all its work. Over the years, Peter has taken this commitment into the community at large and has become a familiar local figure, receiving the MBE in 2018 for services to charity and the local business community.
Anna is the newbie on the Lunds team. She claims she has been in the carpet business 20 years, but John, whom she has worked with before, says it might be a little bit more! She cannot think of anything bad about working at Lunds and loves the variety of sales, warehouse, and admin work. Quality stock and truthful staff, she says are the hallmarks of the firm.
John owned his own carpet shop at the age of 18 and continues to bring the same enthusiasm and ambition to his role as manager at Lunds, where he has worked for 18 years. John is proud to foster a family ethos amongst the Lunds team. He is proud of the Lunds’ commitment to each individual customer He knows this is reflected in the fact that 90% of business is either returning customers or from recommendations.
Our new showroom and warehouse at Otley Mills offer a superb, fully accessible space in which you can browse our extensive ranges of flooring. We have ample free parking immediately outside. You are welcome to browse at your leisure with expert assistance available when you require it. You can borrow samples to look at in your own home - something we encourage: colours vary in different lighting environments and nothing beats putting samples down on the floor of your own home and considering them at leisure. There is easy parking and easy access.
